Top-Seeded Women’s Volleyball Squares Off Against No. 4 New England College in NECC Semifinals Friday
QUINCY, Mass.- The top-seeded Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team hosts fourth-seeded New England College in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Tournament semifinals Friday evening.

HOW THEY GOT HERE:
Eastern Nazarene finished the regular season with an 18-6 overall record and captured a share of the NECC regular-season title with an 8-1 mark. The Pilgrims boast a 14-17 record on the year and posted a 7-2 record in conference play this season. In the quarterfinal round, Eastern Nazarene blanked Mitchell 3-0 while New England College edged Becker 3-2.
POSTSEASON HISTORY:
Eastern Nazarene is making its first-ever trip to the NECC Tournament after joining the conference this year. The Lions' previous postseason appearance came in 2013 with a trip to the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament quarterfinals.
LIONS VS. PILGRIMS:
In the first-ever meeting between the two squads earlier this season, Eastern Nazarene dropped a 3-2 decision to New England College to suffer its first league loss of the fall.
ALL-CONFERENCE RECOGNITION:
Eastern Nazarene landed a pair on the All-New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) first team. Ruth Aguilar (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) was named the NECC Rookie of the Year while Courtney McCarthy (Merrimack, N.H.) joined her on the all-conference first team. Sophomore Samantha Caldwell (Quincy, Mass.) was selected to the NECC Del Malloy Sportsmanship Team.
