Women’s Cross Country Takes Third at Mass. Maritime Invitational; Kingsley Claims Individual Crown
BUZZARDS BAY, Mass.- Rookie Rodelina KIngsley (Lawrence, Mass.) led the Eastern Nazarene College women's cross country team to a third-place finish at the Lt. Travis J. Fuller Invitational hosted by the Massachusetts Maritime Academy Friday.
Kingsley bested the field with a time of 20:05 to earn the individual title.
Kaylee McGurgan (Waco, Texas) and Elizabeth Gillis (Westford, Mass.) finished in the top-15 with marks of 23:15 and 23:17, respectively.
Katherine Sautter (Quincy, Mass.) crossed the finish line in 23:59 to claim 16th while Makayla Grantham posted a time of 24:56.
Massachusetts Maritime Academy captured the team title with six runners finishing in the top-10. Rivier placed second while the Lions grabbed third for the second-straight year. Curry, Dean, and Pine Manor rounded out the team standings.
Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene will race at the Westfield State Invitational October 6.
