Women’s Cross Country Takes 12th at Gordon Pop Crowell Invitational

WENHAM, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's cross country team claimed 12th place at the Gordon Pop Crowell Invitational Saturday.

The Lions were edged by Curry and Pine Manor in the team standings.

Makayla Grantham (Appalachian, N.Y.) led Eastern Nazarene with a mark of 25:39.9 on the 5K course.

Katherine Sautter (Quincy, Mass.) finished with a time of 27:29.4 while Jael Bourque (Nashua, N.H.) crossed the finish line in 27:59.3.

Hailey Dalio and Alison Morse also ran for the Lions in the meet.

The University of New England captured the team title with five runners finishing in the top 10, including the second and third place finishers. New England College's Abby Shafer bested the field with a time of 18:11.4.

Up next, Eastern Nazarene will race in the Massachusetts Maritime Academy Invitational September 29.
