Women’s Cross Country Places Eighth at CCC Championship

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's cross country team ran to an eighth-place finish at the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship meet Saturday at Western New England University.

Karen Diaz (Gaithersburg, Md.) clocked in a 27:16 to lead the Lions on the day.

Jael Bourque (Nashua, N.H.) posted a time of 31:03 while Dezirae Maffit (Aurora, Ill.) crossed the finish line in 31:18.

Sarah Iheduru (Providence, R.I.) and Noelle Rudeen (San Gabriel, Calif.) also competed for Eastern Nazarene.

The University of New England cruised to its fifth consecutive team title with seven top-10 finishers, including the top five runners. Emma Robidoux traversed the 6K course in 23:16 to claim CCC Runner of the Year honors.
