Women's Volleyball's Andrea Aceituno Receives AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention

QUINCY, Mass.- Sophomore Andrea Aceituno (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) of the Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team earned American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Region I honorable mention, as the organization announced its 2023 Division III Women's Volleyball All-Region teams and award winners last week. She becomes the first student-athlete in program history to collect AVCA All-Region accolades.

An All-North Atlantic Conference second team selection, Aceituno paced the Lions with 326 kills and 312 digs on the year. She also chipped in with 68 service aces, 26 blocks, and 25 assists in 31 matches played.

Eastern Nazarene finished the 2023 campaign with a remarkable 28-3 overall record. The Lions concluded the regular season with an unblemished 10-0 mark in North Atlantic Conference action.

After clinching the NAC West Division title, Eastern Nazarene rallied past Maine Maritime 3-2 to capture its first-ever North Atlantic Conference championship.

The Lions made their fourth-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament this fall and fell to No. 6 NYU 3-0 in the first round.
