Women’s Volleyball Sweeps SUNY Canton, SUNY Delhi on Senior Day

QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team collected a pair of 3-0 wins Saturday, defeating SUNY Canton and SUNY Delhi at the Lahue Athletic Center in North Atlantic Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:                              

• The home team cruised to a 25-9 win in the first set to claim a 1-0 lead.
• Eastern Nazarene captured the second frame 25-16 to extend its advantage to 2-0.
• The Lions capped off their seventh conference win of the season with a 25-15 decision in the third set.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Eliana Baran (Beaumont, Calif.) tallied 11 kills, five digs, and four service aces.
• Maria Clarabuch (Sant Cugat Del Valles, Spain) also posted 11 kills in the match.
• Andrea Aceituno (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) chipped in with seven kills, five digs, and four aces.
• Telma Zelaya (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) finished with 34 assists and six digs.
• Amanda Pierce (Johnston, R.I.) added six digs and four assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED:                              

• Eastern Nazarene rolled to a 25-7 victory in the opening frame to seize a 1-0 edge.
• The Lions edged the Broncos 25-23 in the second to widen the gap to 2-0.
• Eastern Nazarene triumphed 25-15 in the third set to notch its 16th-straight league win.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Maria Clarabuch (Sant Cugat Del Valles, Spain) chalked up a team-high eight kills.
• Eliana Baran (Beaumont, Calif.) posted seven kills, seven aces, and four digs.
• Andrea Aceituno (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) registered eight digs, seven kills, and three service aces.
• Telma Zelaya (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) recorded 22 assists, six digs, and four kills.
• Amanda Pierce (Johnston, R.I.) racked up a match-high 10 digs while Allison Deaton (Riverview, Fla.) added a career-best seven digs.

SENIOR DAY CELEBRATION:
After the conclusion of Saturday's tri-match, the Eastern Nazarene women's volleyball team honored its seniors: Piper Bolner (LaGrangeville, N.Y.) and Allison Deaton (Riverview, Fla.).
