Women’s Volleyball Sweeps SUNY Canton, SUNY Cobleskill Saturday

COBLESKILL, N.Y.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team notched a pair of 3-0 victories, blanking SUNY Canton and SUNY Cobleskill Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:                              

• Eastern Nazarene captured the first frame 25-16 to seize a 1-0 edge.
• The Lions prevailed 25-15 in the second to widen the gap to 2-0.
• Eastern Nazarene notched a 25-15 victory in the third set to secure its third-straight sweep.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Maria Clarabuch (Sant Cugat del Valles, Spain) posted a team-best 12 kills while Eliana Baran (Beaumont, Calif.) tallied 11 kills.
• Andrea Aceituno (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) finished with 13 digs, seven kills, and three aces.
• Telma Zelaya (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) recorded 30 assists and added five digs.
• Alexis Marshall paced SUNY Canton with seven kills while Sammie Frank chipped in with 11 assists and seven digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED:                              

• Eastern Nazarene breezed by SUNY Cobleskill 25-10 in the first set to establish a 1-0 lead.
• The Lions claimed the second frame 25-18 to double their advantage 2-0.
• The visitors rolled to a 25-11 decision in the third to cap off their sixth-consecutive victory.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Andrea Aceituno (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) notched 10 kills, nine digs, and a pair of service aces.
• Eliana Baran (Beaumont, Calif.) registered nine kills, six digs, and three aces.
• Shantte Siliezar (Puerto Cortes, Honduras) added eight kills while Maria Clarabuch (Sant Cugat del Valles, Spain) collected six kills.
• Telma Zelaya (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) racked up 32 assists, nine digs, five aces, and four kills.
