Women’s Volleyball Rallies Past Nichols in Five-Set Thriller Wednesday
QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team outlasted Nichols 3-2 in a midweek matchup between a pair of unbeaten squads at the Lahue Athletic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Eastern Nazarene prevailed 25-21 in the opening set to establish a 1-0 lead in the match.
- Nichols responded with a hard-fought 30-28 win in the second frame to level the contest at 1-1.
- The Bison eked out a narrow 29-27 victory in the third to claim a 2-1 edge.
- The Lions stormed back to capture the fourth set 25-12 to force a winner-take-all fifth frame.
- Eastern Nazarene jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the fifth and capped off the comeback with a 15-10 win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Eliana Baran (Beaumont, Calif.) notched a career-high 31 kills while adding 11 digs and four aces. Her 31 kills are the second-most five-set match high in NCAA Division III this season.
- Andrea Aceituno (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) posted a triple-double with 25 digs, 13 kills, and 10 service aces. The rookie's 10 service aces are the most in NCAA Division III this fall.
- Hailey Wright (Brighton, Colo.) registered a season-high 53 assists and served three aces.
- Amya Altman (Butler, Pa.) collected a career-best 27 digs on the night.
