Women’s Volleyball Coasts Past Lesley, 3-0
QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 win over Lesley Saturday afternoon at the Lahue Athletic Center.
The Lions improve to 12-9 on the campaign and 1-1 in the New England Collegiate Conference with the victory. The Lynx drop to 0-14 overall and 0-1 in league action with the result.
Anna Burbach (Milford, N.H.) tallied a career-high 11 kills to lead the offense. Emma Graves (Berkshire, N.Y.) added five kills, four aces, and two blocks on the day. Jessica Caldwell (Quincy, Mass.) chipped in with four kills while Ruth Aguilar (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) notched 12 assists and Amya Altman (Butler, Pa.) dealt five service aces.
The hosts cruised to a 25-4 victory in the opening set before breezing by the Lynx 25-8 in the second to widen the margin to 2-0.
Eastern Nazarene topped Lesley 25-14 in the third frame to lock up its first conference win of the season.
Sydney Hart paced the visitors with five kills and six digs on the afternoon while Megan Lorenze added three kills and four digs.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene returns to home to take on Fisher October 18.
