Women’s Volleyball Topples Lasell 3-0 Thursday
QUINCY, Mass.- Playing on its home floor for the first time in a month, the Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team blanked Lasell 3-0 Thursday evening at the Lahue Athletic Center.
The Lions improve to 11-9 on the season with the win while the Lasers fall to 12-6 overall.
Telma Zelaya (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) posted a triple-double in the match, the first player since 2018 to accomplish the feat. Zelaya notched team-highs of 13 digs and 10 kills while adding 12 assists. Emma Graves (Berkshire, N.Y.) chipped in with eight kills and five total blocks. Anna Burbach (Milford, N.H.) tallied six kills while Jessica Caldwell (Quincy, Mass.) contributed five kills and five digs. Ruth Aguilar (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) registered 13 assists, six digs, four blocks, and three kills.
The home team captured the first set 25-21 to grab a 1-0 advantage.
Eastern Nazarene prevailed 25-15 in the second to extend its lead to 2-0.
The Lions triumphed 25-14 in the third to secure their ninth sweep of the campaign.
Sabine Milton paced Lasell with 10 kills and eight digs while Tori Scambray added eight kills and Jess Langan recorded 26 assists.
