
Women’s Volleyball Drops Home-Opener to Gordon, 3-0
QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team absorbed a 3-0 loss to Gordon Friday evening at the Lahue Athletic Center in the first home match of the 2020-21 season.
The Lions sink to 0-2 on the year with the result while the Fighting Scots improve to 1-2 overall.
Jenna Meacham (Millington, Mich.) finished with eight kills and 11 digs. Halle Julian (Whitman, Mass.) notched seven kills while Gabrielle DiCamillo (Eighty-Four, Pa.) posted 13 digs. Samantha Caldwell (Quincy, Mass.) chipped in with 20 assists on the night.
The guests grabbed a 1-0 advantage with a 25-14 win in the opening set before doubling their lead to 2-0 with a 25-18 decision in the second set.
Gordon secured its first victory of the year with a 25-14 win in the third frame.
Jordan Shaduk paced the Fighting Scots with a match-high 13 kills and 12 digs while Marla Batson added 10 kills and Hayley Robinson collected 21 digs.
Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene will head to Gordon April 17.
