Ruth Aguilar Dubbed NECC Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week

MANSFIELD, Mass.- Sophomore Ruth Aguilar (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) of the Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week for the sixth time this season, announced the league office Monday.

Aguilar notched 24 kills, 36 assists, 13 digs, and seven service aces to lead the Lions to a pair of conference victories.

In Eastern Nazarene's 3-0 win over Lesley, she finished with 12 assists and 11 kills to go with three aces.

Aguilar posted her fourth triple-double of the year as the Lions outlasted New England College 3-2 in a pivotal league clash. The sophomore finished with 24 assists, 13 kills, and 10 digs while adding four aces.

Eastern Nazarene concluded the regular season with a 15-6 overall record and an unblemished 7-0 mark in the NECC to clinch the regular-season crown as well as the top seed in the NECC Tournament. The Lions will host a NECC Tournament semifinal match November 8.
