
Women’s Volleyball Locks Up 3-0 Win at Lesley
MEDFORD, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 victory at Lesley Tuesday evening.
The Lions elevate to 14-6 on the season and 6-0 in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) with the win. The Lynx slide to 5-14 overall and 0-6 in league play with the result.
Rebecca Thorne (Quincy, Mass.) notched a career-high 14 kills to lead the visitors. Ruth Aguilar (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) posted 12 assists, 11 kills, and three service aces on the night. Jaclyn Teed (Lansdale, Pa.) finished with four kills while Courtney McCarthy (Merrimack, N.H.) added three kills and six digs. Samantha Caldwell (Quincy, Mass.) dished out 10 assists and Gianna Franceschini (Quincy, Mass.) tallied nine assists.
Eastern Nazarene cruised to a 25-12 win in the opening set to snag a 1-0 advantage.
The Lions claimed the second frame 25-11 to push their lead to 2-0.
The guests sealed their sixth-straight conference win with a 25-13 decision in the third.
Cassidy Wygonik paced Lesley with eight kills and six digs while Tallin Goldberg registered nine assists.
Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene will wrap up the regular season on the road at New England College November 2.
