
Women’s Volleyball Sails Past Fisher Friday, 3-0
QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 victory Friday evening at the Lahue Physical Education Center on the opening day of the ENC Classic presented by Tony's House of Pizza.
The Lions climb to 4-3 overall with the win while the Falcons flutter to 0-2 to start the season.
Courtney McCarthy (Merrimack, N.H.) paced the offensive attack with 10 kills while adding seven digs. Halle Julian (Whitman, Mass.) posted seven kills while Jaclyn Teed (Lansdale, Pa.) notched six kills on the night. Samanatha Caldwell (Quincy, Mass.) collected 24 assists and Jenna Meacham (Millington, Mich.) finished with 13 digs.
The home team constructed a 1-0 lead after capturing the first set 25-13.
Eastern Nazarene expanded its advantage to 2-0 with a 25-12 decision in the second frame.
The Lions cruised to a 25-9 win in the third to lock up their fourth-consecutive victory.
In the matinee matchup of the ENC Classic, Nichols topped Fisher in three sets.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene will close out the ENC Classic with matches against Fisher and Nichols September 14.
