CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team racked up 27 service aces to breeze by Pine Manor 3-0 Tuesday evening.
The Lions improve to 8-3 overall with the victory while the Gators drop to 0-7 on the year.
Hailee Owen (South Portland, Maine) paced the team with eight aces and five kills. Rebecca Ashman (Havre de Grace, Md.) and Jenna Meacham (Millington, Mich.) finished with five kills and four service aces each. Samantha Caldwell (Quincy, Mass.) dished out 16 assists while McKenzie Walling (Rock Hill, S.C.) added six aces.
The guests glided to a 25-7 win in the opening set to grab a 1-0 lead.
Eastern Nazarene widened the margin to 2-0 with a commanding 25-5 decision in the second frame.
The Lions wrapped up the sweep with a 25-10 victory in the third.
