
Women’s Volleyball Falls at League-Leading Roger Williams Saturday
BRISTOL, R.I.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at Roger Williams Saturday.
The Lions sink to 10-16 on the season and 1-6 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference with the loss. The Hawks improve to 17-6 overall and 8-0 in league competition.
Courtney McCarthy (Merrimack, N.H.) posted eight kills while adding six digs and a pair of aces on the day. Kayla Dean (Lansdale, Pa.) finished with 11 assists and three digs. McKenzie Walling (Rock Hill, S.C.) collected eight digs while Oksana DiCamillo (Eighty-Four, Pa.) recorded seven digs.
The home team rolled to a 25-16 decision in the opening set to claim a 1-0 edge.
Roger Williams prevailed 25-15 in the second frame to widen the margin to 2-0 in the match.
The Hawks captured the third game 25-14 to clinch their eighth-consecutive conference victory.
Grace Kenningham paced all players with 14 kills while Victoria Caruso dished out 27 assists for Roger Williams.
Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene returns to the Lahue Physical Education Center October 24 to host Wentworth on Senior Night.
