Lindsey Steelman Receives All-CCC Honorable Mention, Women’s Tennis Earns Team Sportsmanship Award
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Rookie Lindsey Steelman (Darlington, Md.) of the Eastern Nazarene College women's tennis team picked up All-Commonwealth Coast Conference honorable mention, as announced by the league office Tuesday.
The Lions also garnered the Commonwealth Coast Conference Team Sportsmanship Award for the second consecutive year.
Steelman compiled a 4-18 combined record in her first collegiate season. She posted a 3-8 singles mark while playing primarily at the top position. Steelman also finished with a 1-10 doubles record at the No. 1 spot.
Eastern Nazarene concluded the 2014 campaign with a 2-10 overall record and a 1-7 mark in league matches. The Lions defeated Curry 5-4 September 6 to notch their first conference victory since 2010.
