Women’s Soccer Stymied at Vermont State Johnson, 2-0

JOHNSON, Vt.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team absorbed a 2-0 loss at Vermont State Johnson Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Badgers captured a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute as Brittney Love netted her fifth goal of the season, knocking in a long throw-in by Matt House.
• Vermont State doubled its advantage to 2-0 in the 41st minute as Brittney Love notched her second marker of the game and team-leading sixth tally of the year as Denyce Ruiz provided the assist.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Goalkeeper Sabrina Nassar (Suwanee, Ga.) posted five saves in her fifth start before Mackenzie Quick (Barrington, N.H.) took over between the pipes and collected five saves in her first appearance in goal this fall.
• Danielle Maliszewski (Torrington, Conn.) registered Eastern Nazarene's lone shot attempt in the match.
• Vermont State Johnson produced 19 shots and finished with a 5-4 edge in corner kicks earned.
