Women’s Soccer Shuts Out SUNY Cobleskill in NAC Opener, 2-0

QUINCY, Mass.- Behind a pair of tallies by Kayla Dorn (Hampton, Ill.), the Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team defeated SUNY Cobleskill 2-0 in the first North Atlantic Conference match of the season Saturday afternoon at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Eastern Nazarene grabbed a 1-0 lead in the 44th minute. Junior Kayla Dorn (Hampton, Ill.) buried her first goal of the fall while senior Kenna Cruise (Fairhaven, Mass.) picked up her first career assist.
  • The Lions doubled their advantage to 2-0 in the 87th minute. Kayla Dorn (Hampton, Ill.) curled in a left-footed strike to collect her second tally of the game while Kenna Cruise (Fairhaven, Mass.) notched her second assist.


INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

  • Rookie netminder Sabrina Nassar (Suwanee, Ga.) registered three saves to record her first collegiate victory and clean sheet.
  • Eastern Nazarene posted a season-high 20 shots in the contest while limiting SUNY Cobleskill to just four attempts.
