Women’s Soccer Opens Season with 1-0 Loss at SUNY Poly

UTICA, N.Y.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team absorbed a 1-0 setback in non-conference action at SUNY Poly Friday afternoon to begin the 2023 campaign.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The home team netted the match's only tally in the 15th minute. Brooke Bush scored her first goal of the season off of a feed from Katelynn Truax.


INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

  • Sabrina Nassar (Suwanee, Ga.) finshed with five saves in her collegiate debut in goal.
  • Eastern Nazarene fired six shots on the day while SUNY Poly registered 12 shots.
  • Leah Saunders (Smithfield, R.I.) paced the Lions with three shots in the contest while Kayla Dorn (Hampton, Ill.) attempted two shots.
  • The Wildcats owned a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks earned.
