Women’s Soccer Clipped by Anna Maria, 3-1

QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team suffered a 3-1 setback to Anna Maria Tuesday evening at Veterans Memorial Stadium. 

THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Anna Maria grabbed a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute as Olympia Myers headed in her first goal of the season off of a cross by Keannah Dunsmore.
• The AMCats doubled their advantage to 2-0 with a strike in the 42nd minute. McKenna Coolidge floated a right-footed shot inside the left post to collect her first marker of the year while Myers picked up an assist on the score.
• The visitors tacked on their third goal of the contest in the 50th minute. Riley Michaud knocked in her first tally of the season off of a long throw-in by Ashley Dickinson.
• Eastern Nazarene got on the board in the 59th minute to cut the deficit to 3-1. Rachel Pieger (Oakville, Conn.) drilled a long-range direct free kick to notch her first goal of the year.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Jasmine Arzu (Bronx, N.Y.) finished with seven saves in her second start of the fall in net.
• Eastern Nazarene registered four shots on the eveing while Anna Maria generated 18 shot attempts.
• The AMCats earned 11 corner kicks in the match and the Lions earned one corner kick.
