Women’s Soccer Edged by Norwich in Season-Opener, 1-0
QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team absorbed a narrow 1-0 loss to Norwich Saturday afternoon in the first match of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Eastern Nazarene looked to have bagged a goal in the waning seconds of the first frame but an offsides call negated the score.
- The two teams battled to a scoreless opening stanza.
- Jillian Patria found the back of the net in the 51st minute for Norwich's lone goal.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Jasmine Arzu (Bronx, N.Y) started between the posts and finished with 11 saves.
- Eastern Nazarene attempted nine shots in the match while Norwich fired 20 shots.
- Jordan Lee (Hampden, Mass.) registered a team-high three shots for the Lions while Deeana Castro (Boise, Idaho) and Amaris Hernandez-Diaz (Quincy, Mass.) each added a pair of shots.
- The visitors concluded the contest with an 8-2 margin in corner kicks earned.
