Taylor Dempsey Appointed Head Women’s Soccer Coach
QUINCY, Mass.- Eastern Nazarene College Director of Athletics Dr. Brad Zarges has announced the hiring of Taylor Dempsey as head women's soccer coach. Dempsey becomes the 10th head coach in the program's 23-year history.

Coach Dempsey's passion for the Lord and soccer are the perfect combination to lead our women's soccer program," commented Zarges. "With experiences at different schools and levels of play, Taylor is prepared to build a comprehensive and competitive soccer program. It is exciting to consider what the future of ENC Women's Soccer will be for years to come!"

From the short interactions I have had with some of the women on the team, I can already see and feel their commitment to the ENC women's soccer program and each other, and I cannot wait to meet and connect with the rest of the team and get underway for the fall 2021 season.
Dempsey arrives following a two-year term as Athletic Director and one-year stint as Varsity Girls' Soccer head coach at Covenant Christian Academy in Peabody, Massachusetts.
Prior to her post at Covenant Christian Academy, Dempsey served as an assistant coach at NCAA Division II Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts for the 2018 campaign where she helped the Falcons to a 7-6-3 overall record along with four All-New England selections.
She spent the 2015 and 2016 seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Misericordia University in Dallas, Pennsylvania. Dempsey helped lead the Cougars to a combined overall record of 32-8-2 and a 14-0-0 mark in the MAC Freedom. During her time at Misericordia, the Cougars advanced to two NCAA Tournaments and captured the 2016 MAC Freedom championship while collecting numerous postseason accolades.
Dempsey graduated from Gordon College in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation, Sport & Wellness before obtaining a Master of Science degree in Organizational Management from Misericordia in 2017.
A three-year member of the Fighting Scots' women's soccer program, Dempsey was tabbed the Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Year and earned three All-CCC honors along with a pair of All-New England nods and an invitation to the NEWISA Senior Bowl. She went on to play one season of semi-professional soccer with the FC Surge in Miami, Florida of the Women's Premier Soccer League.
