WEYMOUTH, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team absorbed an 8-0 loss to Gordon Thursday evening at Union Point Sports Complex.
The Lions dip to 0-2-0 on the year with the setback while the Fighting Scots jump to 3-0-0 overall.
Gordon netted four first-half goals as Alexa Weindorf bagged two goals while Savannah Metz and Calla Ashley each tallied one.
The Fighting Scots tacked on four scores in the second stanza as Ashley, McKenna Feller, Abbey Engle, and Sophia Mammana all found the back of the net.
Eastern Nazarene managed five shots in the match while Gordon registered 27 attempts.
Rachel Pieger (Oakville, Conn.) fired the Lions' lone shot on target while Beatriz de Oliveira Segato (Malden, Mass.), Victoria Hern (Salem, N.H.), Sam Baston (Carver, Mass.), and Diamond Best (Danvers, Mass.) all recorded one shot.
Between the pipes, sophomore Rachel Smith (Quincy, Mass.) finished with five saves in her first collegiate start.
Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene will travel to Gordon April 24 for the final match of the 2020-21 season.
