HENNIKER, N.H.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team suffered a 3-0 setback at New England College Sunday afternoon.
The Lions dip to 0-1-0 on the season with the result while the Pilgrims improve to 3-1-0 overall.
The home team grabbed a 1-0 lead in the 27th minute as Madeline Parisi finished off a feed from Sofia Gomez-Pedreora.
New England College doubled its advantage to 2-0 just before the halftime break as Gomez-Pedreora found the back of the net in the 42nd minute.
Eastern Nazarene fired five shots in the first half while the Pilgrims registered seven attempts.
The hosts tacked on their third goal of the match in the 47th minute as Khaya Sims tallied her first marker of the year.
The Lions posted six shots in the second stanza and New England College recorded four shots as both teams concluded the contest with 11 attempts.
Victoria Hern (Salem, N.H.) paced the Lions with three shots and two attempts on frame on the day while Macie Harlan (Land O'Lakes, Fla.), Sam Baston (Carver, Mass.), and Diamond Best (Danvers, Mass.) all produced two shots.
Between the pipes, Jasmine Arzu (Bronx, N.Y.) notched four saves in the first 45 minutes of play and Rachel Smith (Quincy, Mass.) made two stops in the second half.
