NASHUA, N.H.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team played to a 1-1 tie at Rivier in non-conference action Wednesday afternoon.
The Lions progress to 0-3-1 on the fall with the result while the Raiders move to 1-1-1 overall.
The two teams battled to a scoreless first half. Eastern Nazarene produced eight shots in the opening frame while Rivier fired six and earned one corner kick.
The hosts snagged a 1-0 advantage in the 56th minute. Jaida Mitchell found the back of the net for her first goal of the season.
The Lions responded with a tally in the 68th minute to level the match at 1-1. Diamond Best (Danvers, Mass.) buried her first marker of the year as Sam Bernardi (Longmeadow, Mass.) picked up the assist.
Through 90 minutes of play, Eastern Nazarene and Rivier were knotted at 1-1 with the guests owning a 14-9 edge in shots.
The Raiders attempted a pair of shots in the overtime periods while the Lions managed one shot with neither team scoring a golden goal.
Sophia Fevola (Wellington, Fla.) recorded three saves in her first collegiate start in net.
Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene returns home to face Fisher September 14.
