MILTON, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team dropped a non-conference clash at Curry, 10-0, Thursday evening.
The Lions slip to 0-2-0 on the young season while the Colonels improve to 1-2-0 overall.
Curry captured a 3-0 advantage as Tayla Randall recorded a natural hat-trick as she found the back of the net in the third, 10th, and 26th minutes.
The Colonels widened the gap to 4-0 as Lauren Clapper collected her first goal of the season in the 34th minute.
Eastern Nazarene trailed 4-0 at the halftime intermission as Curry also sported a 21-4 margin in first-half shot attempts.
Samantha Borges, Jessica Gooch, Erica Blanch, Clapper, and Randall all notched goals in the second stanza for the Colonels as Curry logged its first victory of the season.
The Lions finished with 12 shots on the night while the Colonels racked up 28 attempts in the match.
Sam Baston (Carver, Mass.) paced Eastern Nazarene with three shots while Sam Bernardi (Longmeadow, Mass.), Diamond Best (Danvers, Mass.), and Sarah Moschini (Upton, Mass.) all fired a pair of shots in the contest.
Griselda Minchaca (Whittier, Calif.) posted 12 saves in her second start of the year between the pipes before Sophia Fevola (Wellington, Fla.) made her collegiate debut in goal.
Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene travels to the "Nutmeg State" to face the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) September 7.
