No. 5 Seed Women’s Soccer Tussles with No. 4 Seed Southern Vermont Saturday in NECC Quarterfinals

QUINCY, Mass.- The fifth-seeded Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team and fourth-seeded Southern Vermont will meet in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Tournament quarterfinals Saturday.

HOW THEY GOT HERE:
Eastern Nazarene finished the regular season with a 7-8-1 overall record to go with a 4-4-1 league mark to capture the No. 5 seed in the New England Collegiate Conference Tournament. Southern Vermont earned the No. 4 seed after posting a 6-3-0 record in conference play while owning an 8-6-2 overall record.


POSTSEASON HISTORY:
Eastern Nazarene is making its first-ever trip to the NECC Tournament after joining the conference this year. The Lions had reached the Commonwealth Coast Conference playoffs five straight season from 2011 to 2015, a run that included two trips to the CCC Tournament semifinals.


LIONS VS. MOUNTAINEERS:
Eastern Nazarene dropped a 2-0 decision to Southern Vermont September 22 in the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
