QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team wrapped up the regular season with a 2-0 setback to Elms Wednesday evening at Creedon Field .
The Lions slip to 7-8-1 on the year and 4-4-1 in the New England Collegiate Conference with the result. The Blazers improve to 11-6-1 overall and 7-2-0 in league play with the win.
The visitors grabbed an early 1-0 edge with a strike in the 11th minute. Shannon Ryan picked up her third goal of the season as she blocked a clearance kick by the Eastern Nazarene goalkeeper.
Eastern Nazarene managed just one shot in the first half while Elms attempted four shots.
The Blazers doubled their advantage to 2-0 in the 64th minute as Sydney Goodwin buried her team-leading eighth marker of the season after a breakaway effort.
The Lions finished the game with five shots while Elms produced 12 on the night.
Rookie Sarah Moschini (Upton, Mass.) recorded four saves in net for the hosts.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene will hit the road for a NECC Tournament first round match October 27.
