NORTH QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team absorbed a 3-1 loss to Salem State Thursday evening at Creedon Field.
The Lions sink to 6-8-0 on the year with the result while the Vikings improve to 7-4-1 overall.
The guests got on the board in the 39th minute to nab a 1-0 lead as Madalyn Pollack booted home her first collegiate goal.
Salem State doubled its advantage to 2-0 in the 41st minute. Casey McFall netted her team-leading seventh tally off the season off of an assist by Ceara Kelly.
Eastern Nazarene managed four shots in the opening 45 minutes of action while the Vikings registered 18 first-half shots.
The Lions cut the deficit to 2-1 in the 60th minute. Kyndall Fry (Tampa, Fla.) headed in a corner kick delivered into the box by Kelly Couite (West Bridgewater, Mass.) to notch her sixth goal of the year.
Salem State reclaimed a two-goal edge in the 87th minute as Kelly Blanchard headed in her third marker of the season off of a free kick service off the foot of Emily Boyle.
The home side finished with 11 shots on the night while the visitors recorded 26 attempts.
Sophomore Michaela Connors (Norwell, Mass.) posted seven saves in his sixth appearance of the season in net.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene returns to Bradley Field to host Western New England on Homecoming weekend October 14.
