NORTH QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team endured a 3-0 loss to UMass-Dartmouth Wednesday evening at Creedon Field.
The Lions sink to 5-6-0 on the season with the setback while the Corsairs improve to 3-8-1 overall.
The visitors snagged an early 1-0 advantage as Becca Field notched her first goal of the season in the seventh minute after a threaded pass off the foot of Courtney Hewitt.
UMass-Dartmouth doubled its lead to 2-0 in the 52nd minute. Alyssa Martins netted her second tally of the season with a long-range effort.
The Corsairs widened the gap to 3-0 as Alexis Pacheco headed in her third goal of the year off of a corner kick by Liz Stearns in the 63rd minute.
Eastern Nazarene attempted 11 shots on the night while UMass-Dartmouth generated 24.
Senior Kelly Couite (West Bridgewater, Mass.) paced the home side with three shots in the contest while Sam Bernardi (Longmeadow, Mass.) and Victoria Hern (Salem, N.H.) each fired two.
Sophomore Michaela Connors (Norwell, Mass.) finished with a season-best 11 saves in her second start of the season in net.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene travels to Curry October 6 for a conference tilt October 7.
