LEICESTER, Mass.- Rookie Kyndall Fry (Tampa, Fla.) bagged a pair of goals to lift the Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team to a 3-1 victory at Becker Thursday afternoon.
The Lions improve to 5-4 on the year with the win while the Hawks fall to 6-4 overall.
The visitors grabbed an early 1-0 lead as Fry netted her third marker of the season in the 10th minute. After blocking a clearance by the Becker goalkeeper, Fry muscled her way between two defenders to boot home a loose ball inside the six-yard box.
Eastern Nazarene extended its advantage to 2-0 in the 20th minute on Fry's second tally of the match and fourth of the fall. Sam Bernardi (Longmeadow, Mass.) slotted a pass to Fry inside the box and the rookie blasted a right-footed shot into the back of the net.
The home team responded with a goal in the 22nd minute to cut the deficit to 2-1 as Ciara McKissick registered her seventh marker of the season.
The Lions hung onto a 2-1 lead at the break despite the Hawks holding a 17-5 advantage in first-half shots.
Eastern Nazarene reclaimed a two-goal lead in the 73rd minute, benefitting from an own goal.
The Lions finished with 12 shots on the day while Becker generated 24 attempts.
Senior Kyera Bryant (Guilford, Conn.) racked up a season-high 12 saves in goal for the visitors.
