
2016 Women’s Soccer Season Preview
The Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team is coming off of its fifth consecutive trip to the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament after finishing the 2015 season with a 5-9-3 overall record and a 2-5-2 mark in league play.
The Lions, who were tabbed ninth in the Commonwealth Coast Conference Preseason Poll, kick off the 2016 campaign September 1 at home against Lesley. Eastern Nazarene's first league tilt is slated for September 10 against Endicott.
A dozen veterans return and are joined by eight newcomers for the 2016 season.
Senior Katherine Lawrence (Marlborough, Conn.) highlights the veteran group after collecting All-Commonwealth Coast Conference second team honors last season. She paced the team with 19 points on eight goals and three assists.
Junior Kelly Couite (West Bridgewater, Mass.) ranked second on the squad a year ago with 18 points, netting eight goals and dishing out a pair of assists.
Head coach Bob Meals enters his first season with the Eastern Nazarene women's soccer program.
