
Farley Named CCC Women’s Soccer Co-Defensive Player of the Week
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Senior goalkeeper Kristen Farley (Westminster, Mass.) of the Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team has been tabbed the Commonwealth Coast Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday.
Farley shared the weekly accolade with Roger Williams' Kristen Casey. This marks the third time in Farley's career that she earned Defensive Player of the Week honors by the conference.
In the Lions' 1-1-0 week, the senior racked up 23 saves between the pipes.
Farley made a career-high 17 saves in Eastern Nazarene's 2-0 mid-week loss at nationally-ranked Brandeis.
She closed out the week with a six-save effort to help the Lions top Gordon 2-1.
This season, Farley has started all 12 matches in net for Eastern Nazarene and sports a 1.72 goals-against average to go with a pair of shutouts.
Up next, the Lions will host Salve Regina at the confines of Veterans Memorial Stadium to kick off an action-packed Homecoming weekend October 17.
