WALTHAM, Mass.- Despite a career-high 17 saves by senior goalkeeper Kristen Farley (Westminster, Mass.), the Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team suffered a 2-0 setback at Brandeis Tuesday afternoon.
The Lions move to 4-6-1 on the year with the loss. The Judges, ranked No. 11 in the NSCAA National Poll, improve to 10-1-1 overall.
The home side opened the scoring in the seventh minute. Holly Szafran tallied her fourth goal of the season off of an assist by Hannah Maatallah.
Brandeis notched an insurance goal in the 16th minute to double its lead to 2-0. Cidney Moscovitch collected her fourth marker of the fall after a setup by Melissa Darling.
Eastern Nazarene mustered just one shot in the contest as Katherine Lawrence (Marlborough, Conn.) fired an attempt in the first half. The Judges generated 34 shots and targeted 19 efforts on frame.
Alexis Grossman and Katy Lehmann both saw action in net for the hosts.
