QUINCY, Mass.- Seniors Lauren Kett (Norwich, England) and Jules Speno (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) of the Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team have been tabbed to the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) All-New England squads, as announced by the organization Monday.
Speno was selected to the NEWISA All-New England second team while Kett picked up third team honors.
Speno became the first player in program history to receive NSCAA All-New England recognition as she earned a spot on the third team this fall.
Speno collected her third career All-Commonwealth Coast Conference honor this fall as she was named to the All-CCC first team for the second time. The senior midfielder was also selected to participate in the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) Senior Bowl December 6.
Speno ranked second on the squad with 12 points during the 2014 campaign and started 19 of the 20 matches in which she saw action. She tallied five goals and added a pair of assists this season for the Lions.
Speno ranks second all-time in program history with 39 career goals and owns the program record with 14 career assists. Her 92 career points matched the program's all-time record held by Kara Webber '11.
Kett appeared in all 21 matches this season and made 18 starts. An All-Commonwealth Coast Conference first team selection, she anchored the Lions' defensive unit which allowed just 1.19 goals per game.
The two seniors helped Eastern Nazarene to a 9-10-2 overall record and a 6-3-0 mark in the Commonwealth Coast Conference this season. The Lions reached the CCC semifinals for the second time in the past three years while also earning their second-straight ECAC Tournament berth.
