Women’s Soccer Bolsters Class of 2018 with Addition of Gentry Miller
QUINCY, Mass.- Eastern Nazarene women's soccer head coach Stephen Hamilton has announced the addition of Gentry Miller to the program's incoming class.
Miller hails from Daejeon, South Korea where she attends the Taejon Christian International School.
A defender and midfielder, Miller is a four-time All-Asia Pacific Activities Conference honoree and has earned All-Korean American Interscholastic Activities Conference accolades in each of her four seasons with the Dragons at Taejon Christian International School.
She has also been selected to the All-Korean American Interscholastic Activities Conference Tournament team four times. Miller was tabbed the Korean American Interscholastic Activities Conference Defensive MVP in 2013.
"I'm very excited to be attending and playing soccer at ENC next year. It will be a big change from living abroad in South Korea to moving to Massachusetts, but I'm excited to see what the change and path will look like for me," said Miller. "Travelling throughout Asia playing soccer has been really amazing, but I am sure playing soccer at Eastern Nazarene and in New England will be amazing as well."
"Gentry is a high character and high academic student-athlete. She is the type of person we look for because she fits the culture of our team. From a playing stand-point, she will add depth to our back line and she can also play in the midfield," commented Hamilton. "She brings a good deal of pace and is quite technical on the ball. I'm excited to watch her transition from playing in South Korea to the rigors of the Commonwealth Coast Conference."
Miller joins Kelly Couite and Kirah Carney as the Lions' class of 2018.
