SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Goalkeeper Kristen Farley (Westminster, Mass.) of the Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team has been tabbed the Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week for the second-consecutive week, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
Farley helped the Lions to a pair of wins on the week as she improved to 4-1-2 between the posts on the season. With the results, Eastern Nazarene elevated to 4-5-2 overall and 2-0-1 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference..
In Eastern Nazarene's 2-1 overtime-victory at Becker, the rookie stopped three shots to earn the win.
Farley turned aside six shots in the Lions' 2-1 overtime-win at Western New England to help ENC extend its unbeaten streak to six matches. The win at Western New England was the programs' first road win at the campus in Springfield, Mass.
The freshman goalkeeper ranks second in the conference with a .912 save percentage and a o.46 goals-against average. She has allowed just three goals this fall while recording 31 saves.
The Lions will look to remain undefeated in league action as they host Nichols Wednesday, October 3 at Veterans Memorial Stadium in a key matchup.
