
Kristen Farley Named CCC Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Week
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Goalkeeper Kristen Farley (Westminster, Mass.) of the Eastern Nazarene College women’s soccer team has been tabbed the Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Goalkeeper Kristen Farley (Westminster, Mass.) of the Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team has been tabbed the Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
Farley helped the Lions to a 1-0-2 record on the week while extending her shutout-streak to 386:47. Eastern Nazarene has posted four-consecutive shutouts since September 15.
In the Lions' scoreless draw at Regis September 18, Farley turned aside eight shots to set a career-high. She earned her second win of the season between the pipes in Eastern Nazarene's 8-0 victory over Wheelock as she played the opening 45 minutes.
Farley closed out the week with a seven-save performance to help the Lions tie Endicott 0-0 in the 2012 home-opener. The draw gave Eastern Nazarene its first-ever point against the Gulls.
This season, Farley owns a 2-0-2 record in goal while sporting a 0.22 goals-against average to lead the Commonwealth Coast Conference. She has surrendered just one goal this fall in five appearances.
The Lions boast a 2-5-2 overall record with a 1-0-1 mark in league matches. Eastern Nazarene returns to action September 25 with a road contest at Becker.
