
Genesis McNeill Earns NAC Women’s Basketball Player & Rookie of the Week Honors
WATERVILLE, Maine- Rookie Genesis McNeill (Providence, R.I.) of the Eastern Nazarene College women's basketball team has been named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, announced the league office Tuesday afternoon.
As the Lions capped off the first semester with a win over UMass-Boston and a loss at Emerson, McNeill averaged 18.0 points and 12.0 steals per game. She notched a double-double in both games, finishing with 22 points and 11 steals against UMass-Boston before posting 14 points and a career-high 13 steals against Emerson.
McNeill paces NCAA Division III with 81 total steals on the year and 8.1 steals per contest. She leads Eastern Nazarene with 13.0 points per game and 3.5 assists per contest this season.
Eastern Nazarene boasts a 76 overall record with a 2-3 mark in North Atlantic Conference play. The Lions return to the hardwood January 5 to host SUNY Poly in a league tilt.
