Women’s Basketball Tripped Up at Emerson, 60-53
BOSTON, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's basketball team dropped a 60-53 decision at Emerson Thursday evening.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Eastern Nazarene clung to a 6-5 edge after the first quarter of play.
- Emerson held a 19-15 advantage in second-period scoring to own a 24-21 lead at the break.
- The home side outscored the visitors 21-15 in the third to widen the margin to 45-36 heading to the final frame.
- Eastern Nazarene poured in 17 points in the fourth quarter while Emerson produced 15 points in the frame to improve to 3-1 at home on the season.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Genesis McNeill (Providence, R.I.) posted 14 points and a career-high 13 steals, the second-highest single-game steals total in NCAA Division III this season.
- Sabanna Berrios (Providence, R.I.) tallied 10 points and grabbed five boards.
- Eva Graf (Mather, Calif.) chipped in with seven points.
- Eastern Nazarene was limited to 29.4% shooting from the floor and just 1-of-16 shooting from three-point range.
- Emerson finished with a field-goal percentage of 38.9% while connecting on 7-of-23 from beyond the arc.
- Ella Bushee scored a game-high 18 points to lead the home team while Charlotte Levison registered 20 rebounds and eight points.
