Women’s Basketball Drops 71-67 Decision to SUNY Canton
QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's basketball team fell to SUNY Canton 71-67 Saturday evening at the Lahue Athletic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- A pair of free throw by Ahidali DeHuelbes (Tucson, Ariz.) pushed Eastern Nazarene's lead to 18-8 just before the end of the first quarter.
- The Lions stretched their advantage to 33-19 on a free throw by Kayla Taylor (Lompoc, Calif.) with 4:06 on the clock in the second frame.
- The home side sported a 40-28 halftime lead.
- SUNY Canton strung together a 17-3 run to seize a 45-43 edge with 2:31 remaining in the third period.
- The Roos finished with a 23-9 advantage in third-quarter scoring to cling to a 51-49 lead heading into the final frame.
- After Sabanna Berrios (Providence, R.I.) banked in a layup to knot the game at 62-62 with 3:05 remaining in regulation, the visitors chalked up five unanswered points to capture a 67-62 lead with 40 seconds to go.
- SUNY Canton converted 6-of-6 from the charity stripe in the final minute to escape with a narrow 71-67 victory to remain undefeated in league play.

- Eva Graf (Mather, Calif.) paced the Lions with 12 points, six rebounds, and five steals.
- Sabanna Berrios (Providence, R.I.) netted 11 points and hauled in six boards.
- Anaira Ayala (Guaynabo, P.R.) finished with 11 points off the bench.
- Molly Smith (Hudson, N.H.) and Delaney Walker (Nampa, Idaho) both chipped in with eight points.
- Eastern Nazarene concluded the contest with a field-goal percentage of 32.9% while sinking 10-of-38 from three-point territory.
- SUNY Canton shot 41.5% from the floor and 26.3% from long distance.
- Sierra Pabo poured in a game-high 22 points to lead the Roos while Samantha Dayter tallied 16 points. Torie Moore finished with a double-double off the bench, scoring 11 points and collecting 10 rebounds.
