Women’s Basketball Cruises Past Norwich in Home-Opener, 70-54
QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's basketball team rolled to a 70-54 victory over Norwich Saturday afternoon at the Lahue Athletic Center in the first home game of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The home team owned a narrow 17-15 lead after the first quarter of play.
- Eastern Nazarene poured in 24 points I the second period while limiting Norwich to nine points.
- Delaney Walker (Nampa, Idaho) banked in high-arching three-pointer at the halftime buzzer from just inside the half-court line to extend the Lions' advantage to 41-24.
- The hosts grabbed their largest lead of the game with 1:48 remaining, 62-35, as Genesis McNeill (Providence, R.I.) knocked down a pull-up jumper.
- Eastern Nazarene boasted a 63-38 advantage heading into the final period.
- Despite Norwich finishing with a 16-7 edge in fourth-quarter scoring and chalking up the final eight points of the game, the Lions prevailed 70-54.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Alexandria Paquet (Santa Maria, Calif.) poured in a team-high 15 points and added six rebounds with five assists.
- Delaney Walker (Nampa, Idaho) tallied 14 points while Anaira Ayala (Guaynabo, P.R.) netted 11 points off the bench.
- Genesis McNeill (Providence, R.I.) posted 10 points, eight boards, seven steals, and five assists.
- Theresa McCarver (Fairfield, Calif.) chipped in with nine rebounds and eight points.
- Eastern Nazarene shot 38.2% from the floor and 33.3% from beyond the arc.
- Norwich concluded the contest with a field-goal percentage of 28.1% while connecting on 5-of-25 from three-point territory.
- Hailey Brewster led all scorers with 17 points on the day for the Cadets while Maren McGinn added 12 points.
