Women’s Basketball Triumphs 89-70 Over Fitchburg State
QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's basketball team collected an 89-70 victory over Fitchburg State Wednesday evening at the Lahue Athletic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After Fitchburg State opened the game with nine-unanswered points, Eastern Nazarene responded with a 9-0 run of its own to level the contest at 9-9.
- The Lions grabbed their first lead of the game with 3:26 remaining in the first quarter on a trey by Ashley Quigley (Fields Landing, Calif.), 18-15.
- The home side clung to a narrow 23-20 edge through 10 minutes of action.
- Eastern Nazarene outscored the Falcons 17-12 in the second frame to hold 40-32 advantage at the halftime break.
- The Lions poured in 29 points in the third period and limited the visitors to 17 points to carry a 69-49 lead into the final quarter.
- The hosts widened the margin to 75-51, the largest lead of the game, on a layup by Anaira Ayala (Guaynabo, P.R.) with 8:13 left to play.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Delaney Walker (Nampa, Idaho) poured in a game-high 20 points and added two steals.
- Anaira Ayala (Guaynabo, P.R.) netted a season-best 19 points on the night.
- Alondra Jimenez (Santa Barbara, Calif.) finished with 12 points and nine assists off the bench.
- Ashley Quigley (Fields Landing, Calif.) chipped in with 12 points and eight boards while Michala O'Donoghue (San Bruno, Calif.) added 11 points, six rebounds, and five assists.
- Mya Landry (Derry, N.H.) contributed with eight points and Ahidali DeHuelbes (Tucson, Ariz.) registered seven points and a team-high nine rebounds.
- Eastern Nazarene shot 48.1% from the floor and connected on 11-of-38 three-point attempts on the evening.
- Fitchburg State finished the game with a field-goal percentage of 43.5% to go with 26.7% shooting from beyond the arc.
- Juliana Davis scored 17 points off the bench to lead the Falcons while Ephemian Bailey recorded 16 points and Rylie Harlow added 14 points.
