No. 8 Seed Women's Hoops Travels to Top-Seed University of New England in CCC Quarterfinals Tuesday
QUINCY, Mass.- The No. 8 seed Eastern Nazarene College women's basketball team ventures north to take on top-seeded and regionally-ranked University of New England in the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament quarterfinals Tuesday evening.

HOW THEY GOT HERE:
Eastern Nazarene claimed the No. 8 seed in the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament with a 6-12 league record while the University of New England earned the top spot for the seventh-consecutive season with a 16-2 mark. The Lions own a 12-13 overall record while the Nor'easters are 20-5 entering the contest.
TORIO TABBED TO THIRD TEAM:
Senior Kayla Torio (Manteca, Calif.) earned a spot on the All-Commonwealth Coast Conference third team. She started 21 of the 23 games in which she saw action this season and averaged 10.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.3 steals per game during the regular season.
SERIES HISTORY:
The Lions and Nor'easters have met 38 times on the hardwood with Eastern Nazarene notching just three wins in the series. The last victory by the Lions came during the 2005-06 campaign. The University of New England knocked off Eastern Nazarene in the semifinals of last year's CCC Tournament.
CCC TOURNAMENT HISTORY:
Eastern Nazarene will be making its 15th trip to the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament in program history. The Lions have appeared in the postseason in each of the past four seasons and reached the tournament in six of the seven seasons under head coach Sacha Santimano. Eastern Nazarene has advanced to the CCC semifinals five times and reached the CCC Championship game twice. The program's lone conference tournament title came in 1999-2000 when the Crusaders made a run to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen.
