
Softball Earns Three All-North Atlantic Conference Selections
WATERVILLE, Maine- The Eastern Nazarene College softball team garnered three All-North Atlantic Conference East nods, as the league office announced its end-of-season awards Thursday.
Cayley McCurdy (Smithfield, R.I.) was named to the All-NAC East first team while Bailey Olaveson (Lakeside, Calif.) and Leah Saunders (Smithfield, R.I.) both collected second team honors. Senior Ashley Caldwell (Quincy, Mass.) earned a spot on the North Atlantic Conference Sportsmanship Team.
McCurdy hit .400 on the season with a slugging percentage of .557. She posted 28 hits, 11 RBIs, and 15 runs scored. In conference contests, McCurdy batted .500 and notched 14 hits to go with four RBIs.
Olaveson paced the Lions with 41 base hits and 27 RBIs this spring while also ranking second on the squad with 23 runs scored. She recorded 18 hits, nine RBIs, and a team-high 11 runs scored in league play.
Saunders tallied 29 hits and led Eastern Nazarene with 32 runs and 14 stolen bases. In conference action, she registered 10 hits and 10 runs scored while swiping four bases.
Caldwell saw action in nine games this season and chipped in with three RBIs and one base knock.
Eastern Nazarene concluded the 2024 campaign with an 11-25 overall record and a 4-8 mark in conference action.
