BOSTON, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College softball team suffered a pair of setbacks at Wentworth Friday afternoon, falling 7-1 and 4-1.
GAME ONE
THE BASICS:
Score: Eastern Nazarene 1, Wentworth 7
Records: Lions (5-10) | Leopards (5-8)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Wentworth plated two runs in the bottom of the first to grab a 2-0 lead.
- The Leopards doubled their advantage to 4-0 with a pair of runs in the second inning.
- Wentworth added two runs in the third to widen the gap to 6-0.
- The home side tacked on a run in the fourth to push the margin to 7-0.
- Eastern Nazarene got on the board in the top of the seventh inning to cut the deficit to 7-1. Madison Murray (Lakeville, Mass.) scampered home from third base on an infield hit by Leah Saunders (Smithfield, R.I.).
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Leah Saunders (Smithfield, R.I.) posted one hit and one RBI.
- Danielle Maliszewski (Torrington, Conn.), Mackenzie Murray (Lakeville, Mass.), Bailey Olaveson (Lakeside, Calif.), Izabel Pozar (Flagstaff, Ariz.), and Abby Stansbury (Warren, Ore.) all notched one base knock.
- Abby Stansbury (Warren, Ore.) spun her fourth complete game of the season in the pitcher's circle.

THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Eastern Nazarene produced one run in the top of the first inning to seize a 1-0 edge. Abby Stansbury (Warren, Ore.) scorched a two-out single to drive in Bailey Olaveson (Lakeside, Calif.) from second base.
- Wentworth responded with two runs in the bottom of the frame to capture a 2-1 lead.
- The Leopards chalked up two runs in the fifth inning to stretch their advantage to 4-1.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Abby Stansbury (Warren, Ore.) collected two hits and one RBI.
- Bailey Olaveson (Lakeside, Calif.) finished with one base knock and one run scored.
- Alexys Giddings (Kuna, Idaho) and Caoimhe Wernsing (Brockton, Mass.) each posted one base hit.
- Faith Bonar (Omaha, Neb.) pitched her first complete game of the year and fanned three batters.
