MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.- The Eastern Nazarene College softball team dropped a pair of decisions Thursday, falling to Wilkes 5-0 and Delaware Valley 7-2.
ENC VS. WILKES
THE BASICS:
Score: Eastern Nazarene 0, Wilkes 5
Records: Lions (2-5) | Colonels (5-1)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Wilkes chalked up one run in the bottom of the third to snag a 1-0 edge.
- The Colonels notched four runs in the fifth to widen the gap to 5-0.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Leah Saunders (Smithfield, R.I.) finished with one base hit and one stolen base.
- Bailey Olaveson (Lakeside, Calif.), Izabel Pozar (Flagstaff, Ariz.), and Alexys Giddings (Kuna, Idaho) all registered one hit.
- Cayley McCurdy (Smithfield, R.I.) tossed 4.2 innings and recorded three strikeouts. Faith Bonar (Omaha, Neb.) worked 1.1 innings of relief and allowed no hits and no walks.

- Delaware Valley scored four runs in the top of the third to jump ahead 4-0.
- Eastern Nazarene plated a pair of runs in the fifth to cut the deficit in half, 4-2. Leah Saunders (Smithfield, R.I.) scorched a single back up the middle to drive in Danielle Maliszewski (Torrington, Conn.) from second base. Alexys Giddings (Kuna, Idaho) lifted a sacrifice fly to left field to knock in Leah Saunders (Smithfield, R.I.).
- The Aggies tallied two runs in the sixth inning to reclaim a four-run advantage, 6-2.
- Delaware Valley tacked on a run in the seventh to push its lead to 7-2.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Leah Saunders (Smithfield, R.I.) notched one hit, one RBI, and a run scored.
- Abby Stansbury (Warren, Ore.) collected one base knock and one stolen base.
