No. 7 Softball Edged at No. 6 Curry in CCC Tournament Play-In Tilt

Cayla Clinkscale (Winchendon, Mass.) registered the visitors' lone base knock on the day. Kori Sorensen (Quincy, Mass.) tossed her 16 complete game of the season, allowing just three hits and one run in six innings of work while retiring nine batters by way of the "K".
After five and a half scoreless frames, Curry took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the sixth inning. Megan Flaherty launched a solo home run to left to lead off the sixth.
In the top of the seventh, Eastern Nazarene threatened with two outs as Jamie Block (Pembroke, Mass.) reached on an error and Clinkscale followed with a single to right field.
Jen Lundstrom recorded 12 strikeouts in the pitcher's circle for the hosts on the day.
The Lions finish the 2013 campaign with a 10-24 overall record while the Colonels advance to the league tournament with a 23-16 mark.
