ENC Softball Claims Three CCC Weekly Awards

Junior Sam Losano (Elverta, Calif.) was tabbed the Player of the Week while sophomore Kori Sorensen (Quincy, Mass.) earned Pitcher of the Week honors and freshman Britny Costa (New Bedford, Mass.) was named the Rookie of the Week.
Losano batted .500 in the doubleheader, going 3-for-6 from the plate with a pair of runs batted in. She also boasted an unblemished 1.000 fielding-percentage with three putouts and one assist.
Sorensen hurled a complete game in the opening contest as the Lions downed the Pride 3-0. The sophomore fanned five batters while scattering four hits and allowing no walks in seven innings of work. She earned the victory to improve to 1-0 on the year.
Costa turned in an all-around performance to kick off her collegiate career. The rookie collected two hits and drove in a pair of RBIs while also crossing the plate once. In game two, Costa pitched a complete game as Eastern Nazarene prevailed 5-4 in extra innings. She allowed eight hits and three earned runs while striking out five batters.
